The Sami Halaseh Institute was created to prepare the next generation of beauty professionals through creativity, innovation, and technical excellence. Located near Wichita, KS —SHI offers a modern learning environment where students gain hands-on experience in cosmetology, esthetics, nail tech, and instructor training. Our 25,000+ sq. ft. facility includes smart classrooms, a spa with advanced facial technology, and a full Student Salon & Spa with 52 styling stations and dedicated nail areas. SHI mirrors a professional salon setting, giving students real-world confidence while serving guests in the Wichita area. Since opening, the SHI beauty school has become known for personalized instruction, high standards, and a forward-looking approach to beauty education
Our Founder
Sami Halaseh is an award-winning international stylist, educator, and entrepreneur known for excellence in beauty. His career began with a passion for elevating the industry through artistry, innovation, and world-class service, with work featured in fashion publications across the U.S. and Europe. He has studied, performed, and competed globally, including in Jordan, Greece, England, Canada, Korea, France, and throughout the United States. Sami brought his vision to Wichita, Kansas, where he opened his Aveda salon in 1996, serving the community for decades. His commitment to education later inspired the launch of the Sami Halaseh Institute, where students receive the personalized training and mentorship that shaped his own career. Today, his legacy continues through the Sami Halaseh AVEDA salon in Bradley Fair, the SoHo Salon Suites at The Collective, both in Wichita, KS; and the Sami Halaseh Institute beauty school.
Today, Sami’s vision thrives through three signature pillars — a Salon built on excellence, a School devoted to education, and Suites designed for the next generation of beauty and wellness entrepreneurs.
