What Esthetics Training Is Like

Esthetics students at SHI train in a clinic-style spa environment from the start. Rather than waiting months to practice, students work hands-on with real guests while learning advanced skincare techniques, treatment customization, and client communication.

Training emphasizes precision, confidence, and professionalism — so graduates are prepared for real spa, salon, and wellness settings, not just the exam.

• Hands-on facial and skincare treatments early in training
• Real guest services under licensed instructor supervision
• Product knowledge, consultations, and treatment planning
• State Board readiness built into every phase

Program Phases

Students progress through structured phases designed to build confidence, technical skill, and spa-ready professionalism.

Foundations & Advanced Techniques I

Build core knowledge in skin science, sanitation, exfoliation, extractions, resurfacing, AHAs, makeup fundamentals, and equipment use.

Advanced Techniques II & Medical-Holistic Concepts

Hands-on training in advanced skincare services, holistic practices, anatomy and physiology, and continued State Board preparation.

PHASE 3
Spa & Client Experience

Retailing, guest services, product knowledge, State Board exam prep, and placement through demonstrations and competency evaluations
